Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GoNative collects and uses information when you use the GoNative website, mobile apps, and browser extensions.

Information we collect

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, user ID, selected learning language, translation language, and subscription status.
  • Authentication information that you provide when signing in. Passwords are used for authentication and are not stored by the browser extension.
  • Learning content that you add or select, such as words, phrases, translations, lesson progress, training answers, mistakes, saved words, and imported text.
  • Website content that you intentionally select when using the GoNative browser extension, such as a word or short phrase you choose to save.
  • Usage information related to app functionality, such as save actions, selected feature, training progress, error states, and device or platform type.
  • Technical information needed to operate the service, such as browser, device, language, time zone, and network request data.

How we use information

  • To provide language-learning features, including dictionary lookup, saved words, lessons, repetition, exercises, and progress tracking.
  • To authenticate your account, keep you signed in, and sync your language settings across GoNative services.
  • To process selected words and phrases from the browser extension and save them to your GoNative vocabulary list.
  • To improve reliability, prevent abuse, debug errors, and understand which features are used.
  • To provide customer support and respond to requests.

Browser extension data

The GoNative browser extension reads selected text only after you take an action, such as using the context menu or shortcut. The selected text is sent to the GoNative API to search the dictionary, save the word, or open an import flow for longer text. The extension stores your session, language settings, preferences, and recent save history locally in your browser.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not use user data for advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate GoNative, such as hosting, analytics, authentication, payments, and customer support providers. These providers may process data only for service operation and support.

Storage and retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide GoNative, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve service reliability. You can remove local browser extension data by signing out, clearing extension storage, or uninstalling the extension.

Your choices

  • You can update your account and language settings in GoNative.
  • You can delete saved words and learning content from the app where supported.
  • You can uninstall the browser extension at any time.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
